During the winter months, I shoot, develop and print my B&W work in my very own #darkroominmybathroom!
My primary focus with this art form are my children and homelife. I really zero down on both Lila and Jude, and their lives separately and also together. My goal is to one day, gift these tangible memories to them-in hopes they’ll continue to pass our memories down to their own families.
Film and Wet printing is time very consuming, yet so satisfying. It’s real. You have to acquire the knowledge to create this art form-everything from using a manual rolleiflex camera, down to knowing how to measure chemicals and times for developing to dodging and burning while printing. To say it’s a labor of love is an understatement.
You’ll see more of my darkroom art during the cold winter months. Why? Because it’s too cold to do anything else. 🙂

Now, the grand tour!
My current darkroom is in my TINY basement bathroom. I proudly designed this darkroom myself -with a dry side and a wet side. I’m still amazed how well it actually came together! Please don’t mind the hideous lighting quality in the images-a darkroom is supposed to be DARK.
